Global Warming.

Recently, there have been news about global warming.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature over time.
This is due to the human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels , pollution and many more.
Due to the temperature increase, the polar ice caps would melt and cause an increase in the sea level, this might be a problem to cities(or countries) with low lying areas, as they might be flooded once the sea levels increases rapidly.
Besides that, the amazon rainforest might shrink in terms of land area, and this could lead to species extinction(as their habitat is destroyed), and also increase in the intensity of extreme weather events.

(pollution produced by factories)

To avoid the world from heating up and being a threat to all the living things on Earth.
We should do our part to stop global warming.
All we need to do is remember the 3 Rs(Reuse,Reduce and Recycle)
We should reuse products instead of throwing it away.
We should reduce the usage of electricity and pollution.
And also, we should recycle items such as tin cans, paper and glass, instead of throwing it away.
We produced approximately 1825 pounds of trash and if we continue doing such, there
would not be enough places to dump our rubbish and this contributes to pollution.

Therefore, to stop global warming before it gets worse, we can all do our part,
even by taking the bus or riding the bicycle, we did our part in reducing pollution.
By switching off the light while we are not using it, is reducing the usage of warming and thus, we are not wasting the Earth's resources.
We all can do our part however small it is.
SAVE EARTH!
It's the only place we have.

HIV/AIDS affecting the people.

It is estimated that more than 15 million children under 18 have been orphaned as a result of AIDS. Around 11.6 million of these children live in sub-Saharan Africa. In countries badly affected by the epidemic such as Zambia and Botswana, it is estimated that 20 percent of children under 17 are orphans - most of whom have lost one or both parents to AIDS. AIDS is responsible for leaving vast numbers of children across Africa without one or both parents.
Most of the AIDS orphans who live outside of Africa live in Asia, where the total number of orphans - orphaned for all reasons - exceeds 73 million.

The AIDS orphan faced problems from household impact, emotional impact, education and stigmatism. The children whose parents are living with HIV often experience many negative changes in their lives and can start to suffer neglect, including emotional neglect, long before they are orphaned. They also faced emotional trauma due to the conditions that they are living in.

Children orphaned by AIDS may miss out on school enrollment, have their schooling interrupted or perform poorly in school as a result of their situation. Besides that, they are often stigmatised by society through association with AIDS, because of this stigma, children may be denied access to schooling and health care.

We should take action and stop this epidemic from spreading to more people.

Starvation.

Although we are very blessed living in Singapore.
There are many people out there in this world affected by world hunger.
This is because they live in poverty, and do not have the money to buy food.
Here are some of the facts that I've gotten about world hunger.
  • In the Asian, African and Latin American countries, well over 500 million people are living in what the World Bank has called "absolute poverty"
  • Every year 15 million children die of hunger
  • For the price of one missile, a school full of hungry children could eat lunch every day for 5 years
  • The World Health Organization estimates that one-third of the world is well-fed, one-third is under-fed one-third is starving- Since you've entered this site at least 200 people have died of starvation. Over 4 million will die this year.
  • The Indian subcontinent has nearly half the world's hungry people. Africa and the rest of Asia together have approximately 40%, and the remaining hungry people are found in Latin America and other parts of the world. Hunger in Global Economy
  • Half of all children under five years of age in South Asia and one third of those in sub-Saharan Africa are malnourished.
  • About 183 million children weigh less than they should for their age
World hunger is rooted to poverty. It is hard to make meaningful long-term alleviation of poverty, however we could start small and slowly improve if each and everyone of us do our part. It is not impossible to achieve it.
Anyway, by looking at the videos below. I hope that everyone could realise how blessed they are, we should count our blessings and be thankful for what we have.
There are people out there in far worse conditions than us.
We should instead do our part to help them, however small is it.
It could be in the form of donation or even by spreading the message.
Do your part people and may god bless you.

My interest.

I have loads of interests, such a fashion, sports and basically anything interesting that is happening around the world. It is important to know about what is happening out there.
Basically, there are loads of important news that we should take note of such as global warming, starvation and many more.
I hope that we all could do our part to make the world a better place to live in.
